One practice, four tenses.
I'm BENOÎT GRANIER. I run my professional life as a single practice with four interlocking modes: I lead a company, I architect its systems, I teach what I'm learning, and I make art that asks questions the other three modes can't.
For most of my career these felt like four jobs in tension with each other. Now they feel like four instruments in the same room. None of them is a hobby. Each one informs the others in ways that are hard to legibilize on a CV — and that's the point of this site.
I work best on problems that are weird enough to require multiple disciplines at once: new categories, ambitious cultural products, infrastructure for creative work, and the fuzzy edge between research and shipping.
// The four modes
Setting strategy, raising stakes, deciding what *not* to do. Five years scaling teams from kitchen-table to category leader.
Shipping production-grade systems — distributed, observable, opinionated. Type-safe by default, boring by choice when it matters.
Teaching the bridge between disciplines. Guest lectures, workshops, mentoring — turning complexity into transferable models.
Generative practice exploring perception, machine listening, and the texture of attention. Exhibited & performed internationally.
